The Royal Welsh Show is the largest sheep show in Europe!
We used to show regularly when Geoff's dad was alive, as he loved showing rams in particular. His failing health saw 1992 as the last time we showed at Royal Welsh, until recently!... The kids have been interested in restarting the showing, so we entered sheep last year in 2006. We got a couple of thirds and a fifth, so we were back!
We have sheep entered this year.
Geoff was asked to judge the Royal Welsh show in 2002, so there are photos following of him judging the South Wales Mountain classes...
In 2006, Rhidian was very pleased when the ram lamb he was handling beat the lamb Geoff was handling!
Lyn, Jan's son came with us to the show to help out, and Eira Russell and Rhys and Amy came to stay one evening also, as Rhidian and Rhys had won the county round of the Young Farmers STARS IN YOUR EYES COMPETITION, and were competing in the welsh final held at the Royal Welsh.
They were Abba!! Rhys and Rhid are on the guitars!
The caravan awning gets very full when a stuffed calf was won by Amy as well!
